The Using Other People's Money Song

Many businesses will tell you that you can use other people's money to make money. This is true to some extent but what happens when it's the other way around? A Real Estate business wanted me to buy into their program and since I did not have the startup capital adviced me to get a credit card to purchase their program. Really, if one does not have the start up capital, why would one want to accumulate debt with no guarantee that the business is going to be a success? I did not do it but I spent hours at the court house looking up home mortgages trying to find notes and believe you me, it's a lot of work. It never paid off, but in the end I'm glad I did not go into debt to make somebody else rich.
